Presente Simples

Usamos o Present Simple para falar de fatos reais, hábitos e rotinas.

Forma afirmativa

Na Língua Inglesa não ocorre a conjugação do verbo, como em Português. A única coisa que muda no verbo é o acréscimo do "S" na terceira pessoa (He, She, It).

I walk - eu caminho
You walk - você caminha
He walks - ele caminha
She walks - ela caminha
It walks - ele/ela caminha (animais e objetos)
We walk - nós caminhamos
You walk - vocês caminham
They walk - eles caminham

Alguns verbos que necessitam de uma construção diferente para a 3a. pessoa:

• Verbos terminados em o, ch, s, ss, sh, x ou z Acrescenta "ES" :
  GO (ir) = GOES, CATCH (pegar) = CATCHES
  PASS (passar) = PASSES, BRUSH (escovar) = BRUSHES,
  FIX (consertar) = FIXES, BUZZ (zumbir) = BUZZES
  
• Verbos terminados em Y precedidos de consoante, troca o Y por "IES":
  TRY (tentar) = TRIES, STUDY (estudar) = STUDIES
  
• O Verbo "HAVE" (ter) substitui por "HAS"
  

Forma negativa

Nas frases negativas, precisamos utilizar o auxiliar contraído na forma negativa:

DO + NOT = DON'T
DOES + NOT = DOESN'T

I don't walk - Eu não caminho
You don't walk - Você não caminha
He doesn't walk - Ele não caminha
She doesn't walk - Ela não caminha
It doesn't walk - Ele/ Ela não caminha (animais e objetos)
We don't walk - Nós não caminhamos
You don't walk - Vocês não caminham
They don't walk - Eles/Elas não caminham

Forma Interrogativa

Para a construção de frases interrogativas em Inglês, precisamos utilizar um "VERBO AUXILIAR" no início da frase. No Presente Simples, o verbo auxiliar é o "DO".
Atenção: Na terceira pessoa (He, She, It), o verbo auxiliar é o "DOES"

OBS: Na 3a. pessoa (He, She, It) não é necessário colocar o "S" no final do verbo, devido a presença do auxiliar "DOES" .
